Birds Nest with Eggs

It's March break and we are having fun making Nests and
                                    Painting Eggs!!

My grandaughter is here for March break and that means....

                            CRAFT WEEK!!

These nests are so fun to make and easy!!!!!!!

We gathered twigs, leaves, from around the yard.........

Luckily for us there were some twigs on the snow.......

the leaves came from the Winter urn in front of the house.
( Yes I know it's time to remove the Winter Urn but it is still
frozen in the pot)

Next we added some raffia to the mix......

Birds usually add twine or string............

We used 2 different Mosses and Spray glue........

These instructions were found at Stone Gable.

Once the nest were constructed ............

We moved on to decorate the eggs.

$$$ store my favourite for crafts....

Styrofoam eggs....small........

styrofoam tray,
tooth picks, Craft paints,
brushes,
and a little imagination..................

insert toothpicks into eggs..........hold the toothpick while

you paint....then insert them into upside down tray....

Holds them perfectly .........Once they are dry.........

Speckle them...................

I placed mine in a glass cloche with brown speckled eggs and

a cute small bird from the $$$store........

Have fun with this DIY..........

Hope you are enjoying your time with the  kiddies!!!
